So, you have acquired the funds or savings necessary to embark on that kitchen and bath remodel. Congrats....right? Well, both rooms have been waiting for an update, but which one should you do first? While this may seem like an easy decision for others, I have still experienced many clients coming in asking this same question. Especially if they are ready to do both spaces back to back. In addition, the kitchen remodel may have a shorter turnaround time or vice versa.
I compiled for you a few questions/points to consider if you are in doubt about this very question. Designers and remodeling companies are here to give you our knowledgeable and trustworthy answer, but ultimately the decision will be yours. Here it goes:
Which room will take the longest?
Do we need to empty out some space, i.e. garage, basement, so items can be stored temporarily during remodel?
Are there any urgent issues that require the space to be remodel first? Ex: Water damage, plumbing leak,(s), tile cracks, etc.
Medical or mobility issues preventing the space to be used to its fullest potential?
